| Your sides will be fine, especially since you usually get it cut with a 1/4 inch blade. That length will usually leave a bit of scalp showing, as is the case in your pics.

| Well, depending on how low you want the density to be, just natural wear and tear will thin out a piece.
However, if you want a quick fix, a thinning shears might help. |

| This one guy I know gets his cut down to a number 2, which is a 1/4 inch. I wouldn't personally go that short. I know my sides for blending in some areas are as short as a half inch. |
