when you put the ORWG on top of tape, when you remove does the glue stick to the tape completely or do you have to clean the lace as well. The only real advantage to tape for me is the easy clean up...

agreed, but I think having a properly made hair system to spec and the right size, bleached knots density etc makes life a lot easier.
