Post: RE: Help with new piece

I can't see any visible line, or any knots actually. It's a very very high density, but I remember discussing that with you before, and you wanted to go for that very high density male model hair, whi...

The hairs coming through to the underside of the base are normal. That happens over time, and you just have to cut them off. It happens more quickly if you rinse the piece with water pouring from th...

Sorry, about the tangled hair, you can buy detangler at a pharmacy, or leave-in conditioner does something similar. Rub it gently onto the tangled bits being careful not to get it onto the base/knots...

Wow Mr Burns, that is a crazy story. I think if your girl was rubbing your perimeter join and you have a 1 inch overhanging flap of unattached lace, you can assume she knows you are wearing a wig LOL...

Hey Tony Did you used to have your pics up on the old Hairsite board in the days when it was a Farrell glee club? Or was that a different Tony?

Yes Younggun, that will work. I started off with a piece like that, which only covered the front half. If your hair at the crown is thinning, you will need to go for a fairly low density for your ...

Totally hear you man. That's a great attitude for wearing hair. Actually a style like this makes the best use of the modern hairpiece technology. You've just got a little scrap of fine netting or...

I read somewhere that in the early part of the 20th century they made men's toupees with bases of hair lace - a netting actually made with human hair. They were supposedly excellent, but too expensi...

Possible causes: brushing or pulling the hair when it is wet, or removing the piece before you have fully released the adhesive with alcohol, or pulling off old tape during clean-up without soaking it...

The problem is you don't know what the natural colour of your hair is (or rather the natural mix of colours) until you let it grow out for at least a couple of weeks. But you can't let it grow out fo...

It's simply not an issue. Your side hair does grow and gets a bit untidy and then it gets a trim, and no one pays enough attention to someone else's hair to notice that the top always stays the same ...

Vaseline is good, but I think the best thing is to pin your wig to a polystyrene wig head, then suspend the wig head upside down over the bath tub. That way, the dye will drip away from your base rath...

Interesting tip about Tom Ford's piece - that is very subtly done. I don't think you would ever guess if you weren't "in the know". Got any other juicy gossip about celebrity wearers?
