I had the same thoughts as you. I've gone flatback spikey front on my last order and it's very versatile. I comb down the front no problem and am able to spike the entire front hairline if I want.

Also, when sliding the piece when it's off your head, use an open magazine instead of a mirror or hard surface and you will have less wear on your piece. I even use mag pages on my head to get glue re...

Tear a page from a glossy magazine and fold it up. Then slide it on the lace and forehead to remove glue. Works like a charm.
