Jeff, thanks for the response. For some I was thinking that you only put a small strip of glue in the front. I have done this before but I think I only left like a 1/4" between edge of lace and tape...

I will also disagree with CB1...I think it looks fine from what i can tell in these pics. As far as the color goes, its been said many times, you can't tell an exact color in a picture.

my opinion would be to get a full cap if you have no sides or if you have thin sides and just want thicker hair on top. if you have thinner sides, then in order to do a topper you will need to match ...
