You just might find the stock unit works as well as the custom. By far the best topper I ever had was a stock unit that Debbie colored and cut in for me.

A detangler may provide some conditioning qualities but it's no substitute for a quality shampoo and conditioner. You shouldn't even need a detangler.

Never really added it up, but I would guess give or take about $150 per year with cleaning, protecting, attaching, styling, etc.
