Post: RE: Advice for appropriate hair piece

Start lower density, like 55-60%. Send in a hair sample for a good color match. See if you can find a stylist in your area to work with, makes things a lot easier in the beginning. Try to match ...

It'd be really hard/impossible to define the curl from a hair sample as it's no longer growing out of your head. I wouldn't worry about the curl much, get whatever is closest to the style you want a...

Always some anxiety? I hope that's not the case with everyone. I just want to forget about it while it's on. Work was ok, most just complimented me on the haircut. Still feeling depressed. Having a...

Thanks for the response. I know I'm being a bit irrational and certainly have a ton to be thankful for in life. I hope to put these feelings behind me and be care free about wearing. I guess I'm a pre...

I doubt he will say something, and if he does just say you took medication for it. Easy. I'm still really bummed. I think it's because I "gave up" on my natural hair and those feelings from years ag...

I got a piece that was much too thick for me. It's my first and I got a stock piece just to hold me over until my custom 55% arrives. I've been using L'Oreal Texturizer to make it look "thinner" and i...

Looking around it seems like oil based products can lessen the bond? I just washed that out and am just going to use the Enhance conditioner and a little G2BG water based gel I found. It says Spiked-U...

I'm actually on vacation now. Had a cut-in for the first time on Sunday. Blue tape all around. There is a spot on the front hairline that has peeked up all along, noticed it on Sunday - I push it down...

Try Extendabond/Proflex, it lasts a good 10 days longer for me than blue tape.

Proflex should definitely last longer than a week. I get 3 weeks. It might be your prep. Have you tried Walker Scalp Protector?

I would try and find someone local for your first cut. Being in SF, there has to be someone good. I personally wouldn't have been comfortable doing a mail-in first time, but that's me.
