Sellotape is the UK's Scotchtape

All Proflex will shine for a few days. You can dab the front hairline with your fingertips through the lace to reduce shine. Or you can try Stop Shine.

Some people also do a light layer of glue on the piece, then tape.

Remember that new units are a nightmare when it comes to trying to get a good hold. They come so covered in silicone (the stuff that gives the hair that shiny soft look) that nothing will stick for long. I hate that part of getting a new piece. It takes a few weeks before it's all off and my unit starts holding properly. I wish we could request the factory to not coat it in that stuff. It's pointless. We know the hair is a bit dull underneath, it's ok. No need to add fake shine and silk when it just ruins the bond for the first few attachments before it washes off.
