The more you search the dusty corners
of the internet .. the more opinions, ideas, etc
pop up regarding hair wearing ...
Before I first contacted TopLace, I saw Hair Direct
as being the least expensive solution I had found up to
that point that seemed to have a semblance of quality
(although if you read into the HD site, to get the lowest
prices, you are back into a plan)
John from Toplace was one of the first to mention Farrell
systems to me.
I was clueless as to who or what Farrell was .. and then I
went to their website and was not very impressed with the
hairlines on his models (well, I did not want that done
to me).
It seems from the photos posted ... they specialize in
this rigid, formulated, unrealistic Frankenstein front hairline.
(Hey .. It wasn't me that put the photos on their site) ...
And being long-haired myself (some of which is still
actually mine
I looked at the amazing Job Di Di was able to achieve
on me with the help of John and B.A.'s ordering and quality
control ....
And I looked at Farrell's longhaired models as being
kind of scary ... like the guys who try to panhandle
me in Washington Square Park for loose change every
night as I make my way home ....
I just happened upon this Farrell video ... which I
would have found interesting myself had someone
pointed it out ... First .. look at the client's hairstyle
and listen to them talk about the mailorder hair
places ... their competition ...

Obviously .. they can't be including TopLace ....
Because at B.A.'s Windsor convention, I saw some examples
(Buckeye, Xbadboy, Lino) that blew away what I deemed
was possible ... there is NO WAY anyone could tell they
were wearing ....
And as far as customer service .... Well .. I met several
dissatisfied ex Farrell clients at the convention, one of
whom was too embarrassed to wear his 3 thousand dollar
investment out in public ....
Heck ... it's just choices ... You can buy a piece through
the mail / internet ... and if you have excellent customer service
(which is RARE) ... well ... listen to the happy customer's comments
on this forum ...
Or you can buy a similar piece .. while paying someone's
high overhead, big city's rents, promotions and advertising ..
you may get the same piece ... but THAT COMPANY HAS TO
CHARGE YOU TEN TIMES more ...
I charge a reasonable fee for EXTRAORDINARY RESULTS ..
but one of my competitors who never get results, gets a
minute 'air-time' on the big tv network news-shows ...
His rates shoot through the roof ... but his skill set and
service may remain sub-par ....
Times are a-changing ... You don't always GET what you
paid for. The Japanese gave the Big American Car Manufacturers
a real wake up call years ago .. when they were able to turn
out cars at far less cost, that required less service .. and
rarely broke down ...
And .. if you read this far ... have a shot of Jack on me !
Just my Sunday Rant ...
