I have tried a regular like non brand name liquid bandage before. I think it was walgreens brand. Maybe thats why it didnt work that great. Its ok, but i think it has a tendency of flaking off pretty quickly. Maybe the nuskin brand works better.

I use the band aid brand Nu-Skin, There is shine but that is covered when you put the layer of glue on top of it.
