Some of the curl ends up on the barber's floor after your first cut-in. But in a more practical sense the waves are heat induced by the factory. So
with a washing and even just combing the curl loosens up. You ordered a medium wave and that's heat induced (curling iron). When
you get up into the medium curl category the factory uses a 'perm' which lasts longer than a heat-induced wave but unlike the name implies it is not permanent--just
like real growing hair looses it's perm over time. The hair system is 100% real human hair so in order to get the wave back you
need the curling iron or a perm. Sometimes when people order a body wave (one step up from straight) the customers are
surprised the see the strong wave--they think it's a mistake. But once combed and washed it loosens up.
