The problem is that if you have to snip or pluck too many grey hairs then the density will suffer. I know it isn't a quick option but after trying this out myself on an old system it does work.

Try brushing and blow drying (cool heat) the hair in an upward direction from the back. When dry spray lightly with water and brush as normal,this should give the hair more bounce/lift in that area.

Thanks for posting John but could you also post a picture of your normal Swiss lace for comparason? Without seeing them side by side it is very difficult to see any difference.
