Re: Who here has tried Propecia? - danger!!89 - 07-01-2009 I have to agree with forex i mean theres a reason why alot of non private doctors eg dermatologists working for NHS etc are reluctant to hand out prescriptions of propecia. AND Just because you're getting no side effects now doen't mean anything because there hasnt been any very long term tests for this stuff. And added with the fact i have family who are doctors working for pharmacutical companies telling me to stay the hell away from that stuff was an added incentive to get straight into wearing after all minoxidil did for me was increase my heart rate. Re: Who here has tried Propecia? - Xeon005 - 07-02-2009 yeah me too i never tried propecia, I always hear the results are not that great anyway. Especially for really balding dudes. Re: Who here has tried Propecia? - Cheerios - 07-03-2009 I tried it. Took it for 6 days before being forced to stop by my friends, but by that time I was already convinced to stop. Taking the propecia everyday- something didn't feel right. I think it's dangerous stuff. Not to mention that I spent 120 pounds on one presciption- still have a whole pack of it! That sounds brutal ! err the whole point of wearing hair is that you have actual instant results and that it makes you look better. 99 Percent of people couldn't second guess me wearing hair anymore because its just blended so well now and if it was obvious i was wearing hair i wouldn't wear hair. I dont see how you can compare something as harmless albiet slightly time consuming at first like wearing hair to having a limp dick/ testicular pain as quoted above. And the most pathetic thing of all is after all that money spent unless you started taking that stuff straight away you will never have the hair you had before with meds unless you're REALLY REALLY REALLY lucky and even then i don't see any proof. Where as with hair replacement you can possibly even have better hair than you had before. Believe me if hair pieces made my nutsack hurt/ made me impotent or turn me into a zombie or whatever other ridiculous side effect i wouldn't be wearing So yeah the crazy stuff i do for hair, believe me its not so crazy Re: Who here has tried Propecia? - Dave83 - 07-04-2009 Thanks for all the replies. I went to my doctor about Propecia a couple of months back, she refused to proscribe it to me on the grounds that the risks weren't worth the benefits. Perhaps she was right. Re: Who here has tried Propecia? - Darius - 07-04-2009 I took Propecia for a while. (Actually, I just quartered Proscar tablets, which amounts the same thing but at 1/4 the price.) I needed to take Viagra to counter-act the side effects, though! Furthermore, it didn't seem to have any noticeable positive effect. |
