RE: Knotted vs. Injected thin skin - LTB - 03-04-2013 What is the thinnest that skin can be to accept injected hair? 0.08mm seems to be the norm but I am sure I read, either on here or elsewhere, of 0.05mm skin having injected hair? Anybody know? RE: Knotted vs. Injected thin skin - Hairenough - 03-04-2013 I think some places can inject 0.06 skin but I don't know if it's durable. I like 0.08 and even 0.1 a lot. My current piece I've been wearing for about 5 weeks and not one hair has come out yet that I've noticed. It's between 0.08 and 0.1. Johnny- yes I'm excited about that idea too. I've never seen knotted skin in person though so I don't know what a knotted skin hairline looks like. I'd live to get my hands on a small sample of blonde knotted thin skin to test. RE: Knotted vs. Injected thin skin - NYCguy2020 - 03-04-2013 Sounds good but i'm not sure an 0.8mm front will be undetectable because of that edge. Is there anything between the 0.3 and the 0.8 skin like 0.5mm injected/ knotted base? RE: Knotted vs. Injected thin skin - Hairenough - 03-04-2013 Yea it's not as good as the 0.03 when it comes to getting a nice invisible edge but there are tricks to help hide the edge. The 0.3 was impressive when I tried it but v-looping wasn't ideal. Has anyone seen a blonde knotted thin skin in person? Thin skin is a dream come true for me. Once we get the perfect hairline on it I will have the most amazing hair system. It's already amazing with a funky choppy forward to the side style but imagine gelling up your hair and the hairline just looking flawless. We're SO close! RE: Knotted vs. Injected thin skin - LTB - 03-05-2013 I notice that on a competitors site (where the pictures are taken from) they have an injected 0.08mm skin with a leading hairline edge of the thinner0.03mm skin! So that could be the problem solved involving getting the skin to disappear? It would all come down to how an injected hairline can compairing or better a lace hairline? RE: Knotted vs. Injected thin skin - Hairenough - 03-05-2013 I think they have v-looping on their front 0.03 section. I have some hope for the idea of a blonde microknotted 0.03 front put on a 0.08 injected system. But as I said I've never seen microknots on a skin base in person so I don't know how they look close up. RE: Knotted vs. Injected thin skin - LTB - 03-05-2013 No v-looping on the very small 0.03mm leading edge skin, just enough skin to conceal I am told? RE: Knotted vs. Injected thin skin - Hairenough - 03-05-2013 Ohhhh do you mean the 0.03mm part is just a few mm? So it's 0.08 injected with a very small edge of 0.03 attached and no hairs on that part, purely for the purpose of having a less detectable hairline edge? RE: Knotted vs. Injected thin skin - NYCguy2020 - 03-05-2013 I think that's what he means. Still not ideal IMO RE: Knotted vs. Injected thin skin - LTB - 03-05-2013 Here is a copy of the blurb on the skin, 'The front is capped with a thin poly edge. So you’ll get a decent appearance and a little more durability than a micro-skin base.' So yes it appears that they offer the very thin skin at the front edge. |
