Re: 4 Days and Counting - ST-30's Secure Gripping Power - thecount - 11-08-2008 I have a poly perimeter on my piece. (BA and John can probably give you more specifics) Since I wear longer hair than from what most wearers on this forum report ...It is pretty much undetectable .... DiDi also applies the thin slices of ST-30 to the front lace. FOR REMOVAL !! Di Di just uses 91 percent alcohol on top of the piece ... sprays the front with alcohol ... lets it sit a few minutes .... and lifts the piece up slowly ... Pretty effortlessly . I watched her ... pretty much clean the piece easily with alcohol in about ten minutes or less ..... Of course, my stylist fully services the piece and redyes it (as she ordered blonde hair originally ... so the knots would blend into the scalp ...undectectable) (Note: If I did not have a local stylist available .. I would never have taken on the project of having to redye the piece .. even though the hairline, by keeping the knots blonde .. even inches away (unless you're wearing 3.0 reading glasses) looks like it is actually growning out of your scalp).... but heck .. the redying, cleaning, cutting off any fraying ... it's all included in her moderate service charge) And many Toplace clients, besides myself ... are very much satisfied Of course, since she dyes it ... after she's taken off the glue ... she leaves the room with my piece .... (Because I use some product in my hair ... Like gel ... a few drops of JRobs Miracle Hair Formulation) There is buildup and residue on the hair ... So she takes it to another room with a big sink where she has one of those fabric cleaner guns which is mentioned on the EARLY TOPLACE FORUMS as well as Michigan Baldy's DVDs. IT IS AMAZING .. JUST LIKE YOU GUYS HAVE TOLD ME ON THIS FORUM ... HOW YOUR MIND SHIFTS AS A HAIRWEARER !!! What is amazing is how you get used to hair wearing ... Just as it was 'UNCOMFORTABLE' in the beginning to see MYSELF with SO much hair .... When my stylist takes off the piece ... I look in the mirror and wonder ... who the freak ...that guy looking back at me And the comments I've received over the last few months... you look younger, slimmer .... but most of all, I don't see the eyes shift to the top of my head as when my head was full of concealer product (Couvre, Prothik, Topphik) .. They just look directly into my eyes ... And I have sat an arm length away ... under intense, bright lights ... in front of some of the most critical people on the planet as well as my family members .. and no ONE ... have even inferred anything ... (and believe me ... they would. Matter-of-fact, if my brothers knew ... they would torture me endlessly ...) BTW: I think SOME PEOPLE SUSPECTED .. EVEN SAID TO ME .. "ARE YOU WEARING A PIECE?" ... when I was ONLY WEARING 'Hair Concealer' powders, sprays and rub-ons. I was visiting my sister 3 weekends ago... She's a former hairstylist ... was a foot away .... and I thought she caught on .... She reached up to the top of my head ... but she was only removing one of my parrot's feathers that had landed on the top of my head off ! |
