You will get exponentially better at being able to care for it and apply it. The ST-30 tape should last atleast a few days, I change mine about every 5-7 days. I suggest making sure your skin is clean...

How do you keep it maintained so well after 6 months? I feel like I can never go more then 3 months before my unit begins to fade and dry out. Any useful tips would be much appreciated.

When its not attached it will look thinnner than it will look once it is applied. When I remove my piece it i am always baffled by how thin i think it is. Once i apply it though, its a nice thick head...

Sounds like you have to much density maybe? I remember when i first started wearing, i freaked out too, it looked like i had way to much hair...after a few days it grew on me and it felt more normal...

Go with the TL250. Its not hard to apply tape to the lace at all. I think that piece would be the best for a beginner. It has good durability, ease of use and still looks really good.
