This is off my old forum :

PRODUCT (found in most drug stores):

LOREAL Feria #205 - Extra Bleach Blond

Mix together:

One(1) packet of SHIMMERING LIGHTENING POWDER
One tablespoon of SHIMMERING DEVELOPING CREME
1/2 teaspoon (nickel sized) of SHIMMERING EXTRA LIGHTENING CREME

This should form a "PASTE".....

Put hairpiece "upside down" on a mannequin head and "pin down" so it won't slide (pin the edges only - leave the middle of the base elevated just a bit so the hair isn't pushed harshly against the base)

Make sure the hair at the frontal hairline is "tucked in" behind the base (in case you run over the edge). Best to bleach knots before you cut the "excess lace" from the front.

Gently apply to underside of base with a small paintbrush.

Leave on for 45 minutes to 1 hour (one hour works great for me).

In the past; I used the LOREAL Feria #200 but that came with SHIMMERING OIL instead of the LIGHTENING CREME. The creme forms a better mixture and works faster.

With that said; bleaching your own knots is not without risk. Occasionally it leaves the base a "bit orange".

With this new formula; my base didn't discolor and I have a virtually undetechable base.
