Hair wearer's arsenal help needed please!
Hello everyone

I am currently awaiting my first piece and after reading through the stickies and some other posts I think I have a goodish list of the supplies I'll be needing and what products I've chosen for each. However I do need help with a couple of things I'm not sure about.

The list of things I'm aware of needing and the choice I've made -

The glue/adhesive for bonding - Oil Resistant White Glue

Remover for debonding - Lace Release Spray

Lace cleaner - Autoglym Tar Remover (sounded scary but I read on here it's great stuff).

Knot Sealer - Debbie's or is any knot sealer ok?

Scalp cleaner - I need a recommendation here please! (I'm in the UK)

Shampoo - Im going to shampoo my piece while it's on my head and along with my natural hair - Can I use any sulphate free shampoo or is one better than the rest?

So my main concerns are

What scalp cleaner to use?

What shampoo?

Of the products I HAVE listed, have i chosen well ?

many thanks everyone!

I'm not sure what you mean by a scalp cleaner.I use Pure adhesive remover to clean the glue off my head. Then I just shampoo my scalp a couple of time to get all oily residue out.I also use 99% alcohol to wipe my scalp and make sure it's squeaky clean.I then apply my scalp protector and whatever attachement method I use.....re shampoos it's recommended to use a sulfate-free shampoo, example: L'Oreal EverPure sulfate-free shampoo.

Hope that helps

Its really hard to get 99% alcohol here in the UK.
All we can readily get is 91%, which isn't as effective for scalp cleaning.
C22 is good, if you search eBay.co.uk for C22 under 'health & beauty', you'll find some UK places to order it from.
To get you started re shampoo, you can always use Johnson's baby shampoo as its very gentle.
You probably have a local Sally's Hair & Beauty Store near you and they do sulphate free shampoos:
http://www.sallyexpress.com/search.aspx?q=sulphate+free

You'll also see on that page some Hair Extension shine spray.
I've never used that particular product, but some sort of leave-in conditioner spray is something I'd recommend.

Again, Johnson's do a Baby No Tangle spray which I use daily.

99% Alcohol is easy to get in the UK if you get it on Ebay. I ordered a litre of 99% from Ebay during my last visit to England.

Really?

I stand corrected and poised to do an eBay search immediately!
Thank you for that info.

You can even get pure acetone too (something I wasn't able to get in the UK stores)
