cleaning a unit over night???
im confused about something.

when people talk about cleaning their system and letting it soak etc. what do they mean.
leaving the unit in a bucket of soap or what? also whats this purpose? is it to removed adhesive? i thought thats what my c22 and pure were for? also i heard you need to exfoliate and cleanse ur scalp before wearing? is my shampoo not good enough for all of this? if not, then can someone tell me which cleanser or exfoliater il have to buy.. and which over night washing soap id have to buy if i have to let my unit soak or whatever its called.

i was under the impression that shampooing would be enough to remove adhesives form my head and cleaning it enough to reattatch and also thought spraying c22 and pure and then doing the mirror slide was enough to take care of the unit

1% of glue left on the hair or scalp can result in 10% less adhesion the next time you attach.
Therefore putting in the time to get the scalp & base as clean as possible can really pay off.
Thats why people have built up their own cleaning & maintenance regimes.
But just because some do it, doesn't mean you have to.
You won't really know what is necessary until you start wearing.
Its folly to be prepared for EVERY eventuality & issue, because its very likely you won't experience half of the ones you read about.
It will all depend upon what glue you use, what your skin chemistry is, how you care for your hair on a daily basis and what activities your pursue.
You also don't need to invest in specialist hair replacement products for everything.
Normal 'off-the-shelf' products for things like exfoliator are perfectly fine.

Well-put Hersute...... there`s no point in trying to be prepared for every possible scenario elvis..you have a good list of a reasonable/varied selection of adhesives and care-products on your list, so it will be a matter of going on your own individual learning-curve.....keep this simple for yourself... I totally understand your `anxiety`as this world is a whole new `unknown`for you, but no point in stressing too much either.... my guess is that some guys who had to do overnight soaking and `deep cleaning` probably had to do so [NOT being critical at all now] maybe because of not doing a good clean-up during previous de-bonds and possible got build-up of residue on/in the lace...... I can totally get how that could happen...I`m pretty lazy and only do a light bond with a few short strips of tape at the front and sides..I often don`t even bother to tape the nape !! Therefore I don`t really get any build-up. Just see how you get on at first and cross your bridges as you come to them. Regards, Paul.
