How to apply glue?
Hello, I searched but couldnt seem to find anything on this for some reason..

I got my peice today and I was wondering how do I apply it with only glue? do I apply it to the peice or to my scalp and do I cover the entire area I plan to have the peice or just the front/back/sides etc..?

Thanks for help!

Re: How to apply glue?
it depends on what kind of base you have. never, never , never apply glue to a lace base. if you have lace base, apply glue to your scalp, allow it to dry and then set the lace down onto your scalp. if you have a thinskin/poly type base, you can apply the glue to the scalp and to the base and fuse the two together.

Re: How to apply glue?
Time ago someone posted this very helpful series of videos about the basics items of wearing. If I'm not wrong BA confirmed the lady in the video was a Toplace customer.

A good investment is Michigan Baldies 2 DVD set---it covers everything on hair wearing from attaching to removal, maintenance, cleaning, and even cutting. It's $45 and that includes S&H worldwide. This is a must for any newbie. You can write to MB and order it at:

Re: How to apply glue?
Hey, thanks for links guys.

Today was my first day with it on, I had to dye my hair to get it the same color as lace.. turned out alittle to black so in a week or so i'm going to dye my real hair again, I did not let my glue dry for very long at all.. I thought it needed to be put on really quick before the glue dried.. so I kind of rushed my first time, is this a bad thing? I did not apply it to the lace.. but some probably did tranfer over considering it was not completely dry yet.

So far though, this thing is a life saver, I have no idea how I lasted this long without one, when I got it I was really depressed... I did not think it would work at all, but then I shaved my head and threw it on and it looks amazing, it is COMPLETELY invisible after a few modifications.. I asked someone I really trusted to check if I had a scar to test if they noticed anything, when I told her she didn't believe me, still doesn't.

I HIGHLY Recommend toplace to anyone who is currently on the fence, my convidence has gone up 99%.. this stuff is completely invisible and it's totally impossible to take off, I think my skin would be ripped off if anyone ever tried to without the proper chemicals.

Re: How to apply glue?
Clean your skin with 91-99 percent alc let it dry
use a skin prep or barrier, liquid bandage works great try nexcare or one of the other brands let dry
apply one coat of adhesive let dry for about 5 minutes touch to see if tacky then apply next coat let that dry then apply your last coat and let it dry.
Apply lace to adhesive use a stocking to push the lace in, it make your app look flawless
If you can, tie your perimiter up with a scarf for about 30 minutes make sure you have your hair pushed back with bobby pens or duck clips.
For the best hold do it before you go to bed that way it will be tied up all night.
If your scarf gets stuck use alc and rub it on the scarf with finger it will lift right up. HTH

It also helps to have disposable glue brushes, as it is really hard to clean glue out of brushes. I found these brushes, which seem good and cheap in bulk:
