Re: Holy Cow !, look how she rubs her hand through his piece !!!
Quote:I was a JA client for many years. Compared to TL,their pieces were not that good. Expensive as all hell, too. For these vids, sure,I bet they went all out to make them look good, but,if you saw the guys walking out of there after a service, most you could tell from miles away they were wearing a piece! Plus, their bases were pretty thick compared to what I've gotten from TL..I havent been back to JA since I found TL. Of course, won't be back there if i could since I left the country.LOL

If I was a JA customer, and came to their business after seeing those videos, I would never stepped out of their facility with anything less than the stellar results shown on the video. Any customer not doing that is a fool, and can a company be built only on fool customers ?

I saw nothing extraordinary in the video--- it's really just guys with pieces that are designed (fit, shape, density, color, etc.) and attached well. Plus no doubt they are lighting the shots just right and they guys likely have some makeup, etc. on. Hairclub has very impressive photos and video ads out there too. This whole talk about natural / European hair is a diversion. As others have said, there is nothing there that can't be achieved with Toplace or other good ones that cost much less with a little effort and, often, help from a good stylist.

Tapehead,

Look at the videos offered by HairClub, with all due respect, those offered by JA are in a different league:

I can spot these wigs with sight alone (side hair too short, color match inadequate, hairline with no recession while temples screams recession), they use a lot of gel (a dry look is much harder to get), and they don't dare touch it during the commercial. If this is the BEST HairClub can pull off, then they are not convincing at all.

Taken from JA website:

Quote:The basic concept is simple. We have found a way to blend the magic of Hollywood artistry into the real world of everyday Hair Replacement. The results look completely natural viewed from any angle and in any kind of light. EHK was created by combining the finest Hollywood lace, imported virgin European hair, and the best kept design secrets of Erwin Kupitz. Highly detailed attention has been given to the color blend and workmanship. All of the materials, time, special care, and Erwin’s confidential techniques that the major Hollywood stars receive have been incorporated into the EHK design. And now it is available only to J.A. Alternatives clients.

No doubt a lot of marketing hype, but still, they seem to be using the best materials in the market (probably SFS lace, virgin European hair) together with a professional eye.

LOL!!
Poor Asians are making like $1 a day,and JA is selling those units at almost $3000 a pop! I talked to them when I was a client, and they told me you'd be lucky to get 6 months out of one of those,so,you'd be looking at a $6000 investment on only two units for the year! Jeez!

Whoa, thats news to me! I thought Toplace always used European hair as long as you specified that's what you want on your order form. Damn. I can't imagine wearing an asian moptop on my pale, blond-haired, blue-eyed self. What does it take to get European hair in a wig?

According to the following article:

http://www.articlealley.com/article_17067_28.html

The price of European hair for a single wig (0.2-04kg) is 30 to 40 USD, in most eastern european countries...

Natural hairline  There having a bubble that one in the video is far to straight.

Newbies might be fooled by all this but oldheads have seen all this nonesence more times than we have had hot dinners.
As for European Hair hairpieces I have had a bomb load of them and have 2 here I have never even wore. Newbies do yourself a favour and get clued up. Read the old forum here http://www.network54.com/Forum/241571/ we have covered all this bull before, What we collectively has a forum dont know about hair replacement aint worth knowing and that is a nailed on FACT !
