Issue with making a template and wanting a straight hairline
I am just in the process of making my first template, and part of the reason I am getting a hair piece from toplace is that I want a straightish hairline again, as this suits my face and makes me look a lot younger.

So when you make the template, if I want a straightish hairline, do I just make the hairline a line all across to the side hair?

Or do I make it straight for the majority of the way and curve it in sharply at the temples to meet my sides where they are much thicker?

Any advice with regards to making a template with a low, straight hairline and overcoming any problems to do with sides would be greatly appreciated.

Also, is there any chance of the piece being noticeable at the edge of the front where it meets the side? I was just wondering if this was one way of getting caught out?

If you make it completely straight you are going to look like a fool imo. Try using one of the slightly curved adhesive tapes out there and use that to trace a hairline that has a slight curve into the temples. What you're looking for is the c-contour. You can get them on Debbie's site under tapes:

This link will show you how to make the template. You want to use the A contour over the C contour, if you have and temple recession what so ever. The straighter contours only work if you have a very dense temple area imo. There are other contours you can get as well from other shops that arent quiet as angled as the A. Even some one who looks like they have a straight hair line, because of the shape of the head it isn't actually straight, it has a curve of some sort.
