Is supertape and st-30 the same tape ?

At one time there was another site that was marketing the Super Tape as ST-30, and claiming that it was a completely different product. Since we are always looking for different bonding options for our clients we decided to look further into it and test it out.

We found that it was so similar, except for the packaging name, that we contacted the manufacturer. We were informed that it was indeed the exact same product, but the other site was paying to have it marketed under a different name.

If you look at the similarities in the name alone, it is kind of silly that we all missed it. ST (Super Tape) 30 (The amount of approximate bonding days).

Just like the old saying goes...Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice shame, shame on me .

Fact. They are not even close to being the same.

One way. Supertape comes in many many different contours. 30 comes in none.

There are other differences that I'm not getting into.

Search the old forum and do some reading.

Speak from experience or don't speak at all.

They are similar to me, but the ST-30 just seems to be on a whole nother level when it comes to strength of hold.

I heard they are pretty similar products. Except that st30 gives a better hold and maybe is slightly thinner? That might be up for grabs. I use supertape because contour pieces are easier to work with for me. I like supertape. Its a no messy clean up.

Will St-30 hold on a stubble track, or will it be better sticking (excuse the pun) with glue? :?

Either tape on stubble is strong as hell.

I had to give up full cap because I had too much stubble, and tape held too much compared to my scalp making release more work than it was worth.
