For that second style you posted, my hair currently looks quite similar in color, texture, and density to that. I did a 65 density, freestyle, medium wave to get that look. I like combing forward a bit, since it contributes to the overall messy look and also lets you get away with some newbie issues at the hairline.

That looks great... what colour number did you use for the actual highlights. my hair is also #7 but have never been able to figure out what colour number to use for highlights...
