RE: Hair Spray
I prefer water based spray gels to normal hairspray.
If they're water based, then instead of continually applying more hairspray, you can spritz some water on and re-activate the gel.
You get less build up this way.

RE: Hair Spray
Most hairsprays contain denatured (bad) alcohol to help make the product dry quickly, which also sucks the moisture out of the hair. I like to stick with waxes and putties that tend to be made with light oils and silicones in the formulation.

RE: Hair Spray
Hi,
I tried normal hairspray of the shelf with Alcohol in it,the hold and look were good, but it seemed to glue the hair and difficult to rinse out without shampoo, and made the hair stick and clump together.I now use a product called Suncoat natural styling spray, which i buy over the net in Australia, but should ship overseas,or maybe you can buy overseas. Its a sugar based spray, doesnt dry out the hair, and rinses out easily in water, and easy to style again with a spritz of water. Its also holds the hair in position well.
