The hair in my unit has a a "spring" to it and won't lay down as I'd like. It's a freestyle unit that I'd like to comb down a bit from a left part. is there a ventilationI should be seeking tht would give me less bounce and lay closer to my head?

On your next order specify 'left part' for style and you'll get the flatter look. With freestyle venting the hair is not vented in any one particular direction and it has 'lift' and allows you to try different styles. Also, the PSB skin unit will give you a flatter look since the hair is injected and not knotted it tends to lie flatter.
