style I want
Could anyone take a stab at the specs for this style? and do you reckon its a good style for a newbie on account of no exposed hairline. Also my side hair is quite thick.

Hi Emmet,
That hair is very thick---I thinks it's 75-80%. And you're right about it being easy. With no hairline exposed and that amount of thickness you could attach it and not have to worry a bit. But remember, you want to density of the hair unit to blend with your own sides and back (unless you're going with a full cap). You'd have to have good density on your sides and back to make a nice blend with the unit.
Regards,
John

With a full cap I would be careful going over 70% density.

I have seen very dense full caps and I can't imagine keeping all that hair under control. I would stick with 70% and use styling products to give the appearance of volume. It's a lot easier to fluff it up a little than to try to tame a thick mass of hair.

Thanks guys, I think I'll go with 70 and see how it turns out.

Re: style I want
That is how I style my hair from time to time. Granted, I have a partial hairpiece on top, but I shoot for 80% density. The other key is the piece having thick and healthy hair. If its 80% density but thin hair, it will look like a lot of thin hair. The hair itself needs to be healthy and thick!
