Yes Balamouti:
Every 2 or 3 weeks she removes the system using an alcohol spray.
Washes the glue off the piece using a paper towel first and then
a hi-speed fabric spray gun (filled with water) .... and some kind of
orange citric remover (mentioned on BA's old forum)
Cleans my head ...Washes and conditions my natural hair.
If my real hair or the piece's hair doesn't match or is starting to
fade, she'll do touch ups on my natural hair ... (I only have one 1/2"
section on the right side of my head where my natural hair gets
grey/white hairs) and re-dye the piece.
The first time I went to her, she made the saran wrap template and
now when I need a system, I just send in an order to John or BA ...
(I don't know who hangs on to the template .. whether it's John or
the factory they use)
I've had the front replaced several times instead of ordering a new
system because that seems to be where the wear and tear occurs
and the factory actually does a phenomenal job on repairs ...
They don't always follow the directions you send them to the tee,
but my stylist can make them right.
I have 4 systems right now, 2 old ones that have been fixed and are
on their last legs, one of which is probably going in for it's final repair
(the lace in the middle is starting to fray).
2 of the systems I interchange
(but for the longest time we only worked
with one system)
The adhesive 'normally' holds well when I shower except
for the front ... sometimes (like on BaldyMan's CDs), if you
are patient and leave it alone while it dries, the glue makes
contact again (I guess if it didn't all wash off)
We test the glues ... at one point she only used the white
glue for the back half of the piece and the combo glue for the front.
I really miss the original ST-30 tape because that stuff
could withstand a tornado.
And thanks for your comments.
I get a kick out of it sometimes when people say, 'Well .. you're
lucky ... You have a thick youthful head of hair."
I'm tempted to say, "Yep ... Of course I have the hair of a
teenager ... and you can to ... just order it on-line."

I'm in the same boat in the sense that I'm bussy and would love to have a "Didi" here in Chicago.
So, does Didi do:
1) re-attachments
2) colour touch-ups every 2-3 weeks
3) re-ordering of new systems.
I assume you have 2 systems. You were one and the other one she cleans/preps for next time.
When you shower every 2 of days does the adhesive hold up well?
Do you do a full scalp bond or perimeter and then combo 2 glue for the front?
Your systems looks great btw. It can fool ppl in this business i think :-).
