I used to wash it a lot but as john mentioned it slowly kills the piece. Now i only wash the unit with shampoo every 2 weeks when i remove but i wash with just water every morning and evening to wash any product out just blast it with the shower. It all depends how dirty it gets in the week. what you do for a job really. even after a workout i find just washing with water is enough to clean and freshen.
