I can only take partial credit myself.
The key things that I find work are:
Single strand single knots on a Swiss or ultra fine Swiss lace base.
The colour (and therefore lack of dark knots)
Or an Ultra Thin Skin 0.03mm base with V looping.
A graduated density at the hairline.

I wear both types of bases and for me, they do a lot of the work to make it look ok.

The bit I can take credit for is perfecting my glue attachment techniques and to be honest, I've had many years to learn how to get it right!
