I've tried this a few times where I use 97% alcohol and apply with a eye dropper but have never been able to get it to work. The tape ends up coming off with the unit and I end up peeling it off the unit. It still works but once in a while I take a few hairs out of the system because of this. I've tried extending the soaking time to give the alcohol a chance to work without any luck.
