We have a place here called Skycraft that sells small hardware and electronic parts and I can almost guarantee you could figure out a solution in a place like that. I've rigged all kinds of crazy gadgets with $3 worth of odds and ends from there.

Hobby Lobby also . Don't know if they are back east.
All kinds of craft merchandise....bet something can be found!
Also Lowes, Home Depot has plexiglass, sometimes broken sheets for cheap. Cut to size and glue !
