I `ve always used rubber gloves to keep it off the skin.... you can actually scoop up a little of the `mix`and apply by `rolling` the hair between the thumb and first two fingers [ if you find using a comb tricky]..that way you can avoid the hair because you draw the fingers away from the base....just my method.
