RE: Pics of my Fullcap Template, Recommendations please?
Hope it all works out for you [I think it will] and with the style you`ll be wearing, visibility of the lace will not be an issue.....be prepared for itchiness initially....it will feel `strange `on your head too but it will be fine after a few washes and once it settles-in and any stray/loose hairs come out....you`ll see hairs sticking down through the base initially....that`s normal...it will all settle down after a week or two..... I had some itching at the nape area at first..now nothing at all. Get yourself a bottle of knot-sealer too as well as your bonding and washing products.... you might have to `experiment with a few until you find the best combination for you.. I know you`ve been on the forum for quite a while so no doubt you have done your `homework` and so on ....... some wearers find it can be a hassle at the start and the learning-curve can be steep, others find it easier...just depends on so many `local` factors....but anyway, you know where to come for advice if you have any teething problems.... cheers, Paul.
p.s.--- getting your densities right will be the next key thing....JRob gave some advice there on the other thread where a wearer was asking about fullcap densities..... I`d generally go for the highest at the back [crown area down to nape] and a little lighter at the sides [maybe 10% less] and a graduated front --just write them on your template. I found too that the marker I used tended to rub off easily so just add another layer of sellotape over your maker numbers and that will `seal`them on and there`s no chance of them being obliterated when people handle the template.... medium-to-heavy is 70-75% so that should help you as a guide.
