Whether or not a 'break' is better just depends on your hair style that you want to achieve. No need to make up a new template--the factory can use your existing template. The factory looks at the template from the top with the front pointing upward. So in your example, if you want a left break that is just off center you would specify 'left break 1/4" off center.'
