Question About a Well Known System
Without mentioning names, there is a certain well known hair system specialist who claims to make his own hair systems. This same system costs a small fortune. My assumption is, he is buying his pieces overseas and there is nothing more special to the quality of his pieces than one could buy from Toplace or other sources. Yet, this well known specialist claims to have the very best hair pieces. I don't quite get it. Isn't he buying from the same sources as other companies do? My point in posting this is not to slam anyone, but instead is to try and understand how this claim could be made.

Re: Question About a Well Known System
We have many customers that have switched over to Toplace from this guy. He's made many outrageous claims including that his systems are actually the cheapest because just one system wil last from 5 to 7 years. The only way a system will last that long is if you leave it in a drawer and don't wear it. This guy has a financing source for customers so that they can take out a loan and make monthly payments on a hair system just like a car loan. Mind you this is not a payment plan for multiple systems---just one system. This guy has no magic tricks. Nobody does. He relies on the same sources as his competitors. He used to have the seal of the American Hair Loss Association on his site too---now it's no longer there.

Re: Question About a Well Known System
I have a hair system company, its called xeons ultra custom toupees, I get my units from a factory cheap, and ship them to my company to send out to my customers. I have 20 hair stylists who work for me, a marketing team, along with advertising costs, website costs, dvd video costs, and I pay X amount of dollars for rent on my hair studio. I have to pay out to all these people while at the same time i want to become rich off this business. So what should i tell customers about my hair systems in order to justify the high price I need to charge that covers all of my expenses as well as give me a good margin of profit? I will tell them that my product is the best int he world, and that we are the most unique company around. I will use some of my marketing money to justify this statement, I shall pay hairloss sites to sponsor me and declare me as number 1 for 10 consecutive years. I will also have these sponsors do a hairloss challenge where they judge who has the best hair systems. I mean, Its not really anything brain shocking or crazy. The company is doing what they have to do in order to say hey, we are charging x thousand dollars for a hair system. They are gonna try to justify why lol. Its up to the consumer to be smart enough to determine that all these extra services and marketing they are absorbing isnt worth it anymore in 2008.

Encouraged,

I know exactly who and what company you are speaking of and I shall keep the name quiet as well. I am a former client with them and I will readily admit that their systems were absolutely AMAZING!! I still have two from them and have had them refreshed with some hair additions and they look great today and they are about two years old. Mind you, I do not wear them all of the time. This particualr company does make their own system and they have a factory in Mexico so I am not sure that they get everything from the same palced that Toplace and other do. I will not dis them as they have a loyal customer base and each has their own right to go where they feel the best. I guess I look at it this way, I love to have nice hair and have found that I can go to a cheaper source a bit more often and look just as good as I would if I went to the expensive place less often.

Re: Question About a Well Known System
Thank the heavens for companies like this ....
They spend the time ... the bucks ... do the marketing
to get the word out about hair systems ....

They also allow for companies like TopLace, Coolpiece, etc
to exist ...

Because savvy hair purchasers .. will learn about what's
possible ... yes ... some will be fooled ... but usually those
with that kind of money ... made their own money in a
similar way ...Smile

And those savvy hair purchasers who really do the
research ... will find places like Toplace ....

I hope Hair Club, Farrell, Bosely, JA Alternatives ..
prosper ... continue to get the message out ...
It brings consumer awareness ... and more saavy
customers to Toplace ....

As long as the volume for hair product is there ....
We can enjoy the low prices we experience now ....

No volume .... no mass production ... = expensive pieces ..
Could you imagine if American companies with union
benefits were producing hairpieces what it would cost you?

Re: Question About a Well Known System
I bought a hair system from this place also and feel so ripped off when I found it was essentially just the same thing TopLace sells for $200. It's gonna take me lots of time to get over it. The price is about $5000 for two pieces they make you buy. So ridiculous.

The reason they say it lasts 5-7 years is because they want you to get the front lace replaced every 9 months! Of course you can make it last that long if you keep changing out the lace.
