Here's a photo of a guy that just needs a small piece to cover his bald crown area. We recommend that you keep as much of your own hair as possible to achieve the look that you want. If you're in a situation like this and the you've got hair on the rest of your head and you're satisfied with it there's no reason to shave your head for a topper. You can order a small piece to fit only your crown area.

guess the trick there is getting the right density and knowing how far down to shave .

It's a good idea to send in a photo with the order. I'll send that in to the factory along with the order so that they can see the density that they need to match to. Can't use a photo for color but for density it helps the factory alot.
