I think I read someplace that using some sort of small steam roller on the tape at the hairline can make it as invisible as using glue. That it really flattens it. Does anyone have any info on this and how you do it? thanks

I personally have no idea about the original post, but it raised a chuckle. I'm from the U.K & this is how a steam roller looks to us. Bugger that rolling about near my eyes. Regards
