Otis, otis, Otis....they ALL look too curly when they are right out of the box....simply wet it and you will see that the hair straightens right out. It can be thinned out somewhat during the cut-in....density is a hard thing to judge without it being washed, styled, cut-in etc., and remember they shed with time so...unless its extrememly high, I wouldn't worry about it.
