I am not sure if this helps you but I had a similar problem. I have light brown dark blond hair as well and after some trail and error my color is # 7.

Hi, I have used Toppik before to thicking the hair on my unit so I know it works. Dont use too much and just dont get caught in a rainstorm.

In case you werent aware of this I just bought a Goo Gone Pen at Walmart today that is very handy. It will be great for little areas that you need you clean without wasting alot of liquid.
