Since ST-30 is gone for awhile, what do you recommend using in the meantime? Anything that is close to ST-30 in your experience?

justerxr:

Do you use the ST-30 on the hairline? If so, how is the shine? Can you show any hairline?

Re: No ST-30. Any recommendations? - Guest - 04-11-2009

Notguilty...if you have quite a bit of density...you can tape just behind where the hairline starts you'll be OK...However if your desnity is quite thin on top or at the hairline you probably will be able to see some shine in certain lighting situations...There are different tecniques people has used on this forum...however I have never been able to use them with a real success...that's why I apply tape to thicker regions of the unit and apply glue up front at the hairline. Cheers

I see that jeff at coolpiece is going to launch a new tape soon. It sounds promising. I got a sort of pre order on it, so I will give my feedback when I get it.

regards

Notguilty...I have never used the walker no shine...but from what I have read from other users it does break down...and is a little messier than st30 or supertape...but as far as shine goes from what I have read it really lives up to it's name...I have been using ST30 just behind the hairline...and as I have said on a previous post..if the hair desnity is somewhat thin...you can see the shine. Cheers

Where did ST-30 go? I must have missed that thread... Gel

Re: No ST-30. Any recommendations? - Guest - 04-11-2009

gel I understand another company bought them out and as far as I know they aren't in production yet...That seems strange to me...are they going to change the formula or what? No one seems to know. Cheers

I have a 65% density front and use walker No shine which does a decent job but under certain lighting conditions I reckon you can see a bit of shine..maybe you can try smudging some glue over the tape to avoid the shine.. The St-30 has a bit too much shine for the front so I'd try to avoid it if your density is on the lower side. Good luck mate.
