Help with hairstyle specs for newbie - smg91 - 02-19-2010 Hey guys! First off, let me just say that I couldn't be happier that I found this site, and forum! You guys are the greatest! Genuinely awesome people here. I'm looking to order my first TopLace piece this weekend, and I just thought I'd get a feel for what you guys think the specs on this style are. Also, hair color and side/back density are similar to these pictures (even though they are two different people.) I was thinking about 70%, no graduation, comb forward w/ spikey front? SFS w/ French Lace base and poly sides and back, for durability and undetectable hairline. I'm 19, and have been thinning and balding for over a year. It's pretty traumatizing as well as depressing, as it now consumes my entire daily routine as well as my thoughts. I can't wait to order and receive my piece, and just be done with the worry. Please help me out guys. What do you think I should order if I'm trying to achieve this look? Thanks! Hope to hear a response soon. -Shaun Re: Help with hairstyle specs for newbie - Snipe - 02-21-2010 You must have done some homework. Re: Help with hairstyle specs for newbie - tof - 02-25-2010 Hey, I also lost a lot of hair early on and while it's not fun at any age, I think it's a bit tougher being so young. Your specs sound about right... though my own experience is the poly around the edges is not always 100% undetectable to the touch. So maybe start with that until your familiar/comfortable with attachment then move to all lace. You will be amazed at the outcome though. I'm a typical cali blond surfer dude, mid 30's and most guess I'm early/mid 20's now. Tof Re: Help with hairstyle specs for newbie - AAA - 02-25-2010 You don't need poly, or if you want you can order 1" double lace around sides and back. I also started to loose my hair in my late teens. Re: Help with hairstyle specs for newbie - ToplaceUSA - 02-25-2010 Shaun, You pretty much have the specs nailed. You could order freestyle venting and achieve the same look but otherwise you're right on. I think you'll be a really good hair wearer---you're 'in tune.' Regards, John Re: Help with hairstyle specs for newbie - smg91 - 03-03-2010 Thanks everyone! You've all been a great deal of help. I look forward to sharing my wearing experiences soon!
