Do Hair Samples get old? - NoHairNoFair - 04-24-2014

I was going to send a template with hair samples 10 days ago but I had to order wider 18 inch saran wrap. It's here now and I'll make a template by Monday(5 days from now) and send it. However, I already cut all my hair off from 10 days ago, I have it in a drawer. I was wondering if these samples are still good enough for their purpose since they haven't been attached to the scalp and been fed nutrients since then. They'll be even older once they are sent on Monday, then arrive at toplace, then eventually reach the factory.

They'll be fine. Samples do eventually oxidize and dry out but that takes months. The factory puts the hair sample under a microscope to determine color and tones in the hair. They then record the color number in your record so even though it changes over time they have the original color on file. Of course if you've got gray hair coming in it's a good idea to increase the percentage of gray (or send a new sample) as time 'does it's thing.'
