About comb back ventilation - longhair - 10-22-2013

Good afternoon everyone ! Smile

I would like to know your experiences about "comb back" style hairpieces.
My real hair are usually long (8 inches), and sometimes I comb them back, or sometimes I just let them go without any styling. (now I can't have them long anymore because of alopecia)
I noticed that comb back ventilation hairpieces looked especially natural.
I mean, in the mind of "normal" people who have a bad global view of toupees and wigs, they just imagine the kind of big dark ball of hairs you put on your head. I think they would NEVER imagine a hairpiece with this comb back ventilation.
That's why, if I jump to wearing a wig with pretty long hair, I think I would go for comb back ventilation.

Now is my technical question :
With this comb back style, can we also comb the hair forward when we want to (with lace, or skin) ?

If some of you got some pictures of comb back harpieces, I'd love to see it ! : )

cheers

With a lace base you can, skin not so well. Also keep in mind, the top of your head isn't a horizontal surface. Most men have natural hairlines that extend a bit down the forehead. At the hairline, the hair shaft points more "up" rather than back. With longer hair, it shouldn't be an issue. At 8" length, if you comb forward you must part it somewhere to keep it out of your eyes.
