Partial to Full Cap Questions - JamesJr - 10-11-2013 It's been awhile! I'm most likely transitioning from my front partial TL100 to a full TL500 in the upcoming year. I'm currently using Walker Ultra Hold with Proflex tabs and a little generic white bonding adhesive to reduce shine on the front hairline. In transitioning to the full top, what are your attachment methods? I've heard of some guys lining the actual back of the system with tape and attaching back to front. I typically attach the peak lightly first and stretch the partial back and push down the hairline with a butter knife. What do you all suggest? What are your methods? I'm sure this will lead to other questions, but this is all I have for now. RE: Partial to Full Cap Questions - ToplaceUSA - 10-14-2013 James, Your method of attachment is fine. Some people attache from the back first but I believe that your method of going from the front to the back makes for a better alignment and starting point. You can position the hair line exactly where you'd like it and then work the back down. I don't know if a butter knife is necessary but if you're comfortable with that then fine. Just keep doing it the way your are--it's fine. Regards, John |
