Modifying base (stock unit) ? - folliman - 07-28-2009 Hello, How do I modify a swiss lace stock unit base so that it fits to my head size? I have a current piece. Do I need to take a styrofoam head , and pin the stock piece down, then put my current piece overtop of that. Then, with everything pinned down, take a razor blade and slowly cut it to size using my current piece as a guide? Is it that simple? I don't have a styrofoam head. What else could I use? Thanks! Re: Modifying base (stock unit) ? - FredTJ - 07-28-2009 Yup, it's pretty much that simply though I would make a template either of your head or using your old unit and then us that as a guide to cut the new unit. You can get a styro head from any beauty supply store. Just be careful that you cut only the lace and not much of the hair under the lace. Fred |
