Ultrasonic cleaner for hairpiece cleaning - HaMa - 05-22-2013

Hey there,
I know the common way of cleaning a hairpiece is via the mirror slide technique.
I heard that some of the hair salons are using ultrasonic cleaners with citrus solvent as cleaning solution. Has anybody ever tried that?

Mirror slide is great, but there is always some glue remaining in the unit?

Hi HaMa,
Interesting idea. I haven't heard of this before. I wonder if the ultrasonic movement would have the unwanted affect of loosen the knots?
Regards,
John

Hmm ^ that's quite possible. But I guess you can re-tighten the knots by gently pulling the hair when the unit is attached.

You probably also need a lot of cleaning solution which would be pretty expensive...

This is what my stylist uses and cleans system up in minutes. They can be found on Ebay or Alibaba.com relatively cheap.
