rogaine around hair piece - Matthew - 11-19-2012

I have a little over an inch of my hair in front. I want to continue to treat it with rogaine. Will this damage unit? I am trying to keep it on my real hair but some does get alittle on unit. It is tight and not much room to work with. It has alcohol in it. Wondered about damage. Thanks

I don't think the high alcohol content in rogaine would be very good for the longevity of a hair system.

The other factor is that rogaine is not indicated to help promote hair growth in the front third of the scalp and is most effective for use on the crown area.

Hi,
I would suggest not using rogaine on existing hair,if you have a piece next to it.When i used rogaine it runs everywhere, and would get into the piece, and alcohol not good for a hairpiece, unless maybe you can tip your head forward when you apply, with a headband on,till it dries,i dont think this would be workable however.
You may have to drop the rogaine, and extend your piece into the front area if your hair thins out.
