Can you bleach your own knots? - HairyBelafonte - 10-03-2012 Hi folks, been awhile from the site for awhile. I've ordered a unit from another source & I have a swiss lace unit that is way too dark at the roots of the base. Cannot see any scalp..obviously the knots are not bleached. This may have been posted somewhere at some point but can one fix this by bleaching their own knots? Thanks! RE: Can you bleach your own knots? - Paul In Ireland - 10-04-2012 There`s a thread here : http://forum.toplace.com/showthread.php?tid=4693&highlight=knot+bleaching Note ---- sometimes fabric dye is used to colour hair, and you can bleach the knots from now to kingdom come, with no effect other than heavy shedding, within a short time...... you may have to use a fabric dye-remover on the knots , if they won`t bleach for you --try a small inconspicuous area first [with bleach] and if they won`t lighten, you`re going to have to use fabric-dye remover on the knots before bleaching..... Here`s another thread, with references to fabric-dye remover ..... http://forum.toplace.com/showthread.php?tid=1425&highlight=fabric+dye+remover RE: Can you bleach your own knots? - ibetalot - 10-04-2012 check the sticky....a must read for newbies....all the info. you need is in there. good luck. |
