Cut-in - sparda15 - 08-04-2012

Is there any place in Houston TX where they do CUt-in

john do you know any?

RE: Cut-in - lzlmt - 08-04-2012

I live in Houston Tx also....try http://www.hairdesignersofhouston.com/index.php
I see Imelda there....I am not sure how much they will charge you for a cut-in since you will more than likely have your own hair system.
The owner is Frank...I would ask him. If you decide to use them...ask for Imelda to do the cut-in...Let Frank and Imelda know Louis referred you to them.
They are located on Richmond near Hilcroft ...not far from Galleria.

I highly recommend Wilson who works at the Etheria Day Spa and Salon on Montrose. He has been doing my cut-ins for the past 2 years and is a real pro.

Do the service the system too? wash, color?

RE: Cut-in - lzlmt - 08-05-2012

Good to hear about Etheria Day Spa....I may have to check Wilson out.
I have a couple of new ones I want cut-in....Thanks for sharing that info.
Are his rates reasonable?

RE: Cut-in - Encouraged - 08-05-2012

Wilson is a pro at cut-ins. The charge is $45 and I generally tip him $20 to $25. He is also a hair color specialist. I don't use him for that though, but that could be helpful for some in blending color.

WOW!
Awesome price for a cut-in...there is no way the place I recommended on Richmond Ave. can top that, but if you do need emergency supplies like tapes, glues, lace release etc....they do carry different brands there.
Thanks John....where were you months ago when I was looking for someone in Houston....LOL.

Wilson was a great find. I was using someone else and wasn't satisfied with her work. I was paying her $75 without the tip. Before I started to use Wilson, I talked with a guy from the River Oaks area and he wanted $1000! He said if you want to look the best, you need to pay his price because he is the best at cut-ins.

RE: Cut-in - lzlmt - 08-07-2012

I talk to a guy in the River Oaks area also...who said he was "the best" at cut-ins also.
He did not want to quote me a rate until he saw my system....went on and on about how he had to see if he had to use tape, glue or both...the density...bla bla bla...
Well thanks...I will have to set up a appointment with Wilson for my next cut-in.
